Baptism

Congratulations on the birth of your new born child. Please see Fr Tomasz after a weekend Mass or complete the below enquiry form and return to norwoodupper@rcaos.org.uk.

At least one parent must be a baptised Roman Catholic. For godparents, at least one must be baptised and confirmed as a Catholic, remaining witnesses can be from other Christian denominations but must be baptised.

To request a baptism you are declaring to God your intention to raise your child in the Catholic faith and to uphold all that The Church teaches and upholds to be true.

Adults who wish to be baptised or received into full communion with the Catholic Church should join our annual ‘Journey in Faith’ course.

RECONCILIATION

The sacrament of reconciliation is a profound gift of mercy, where the soul encounters the healing love of God. In the quiet honesty of confession, burdens are lifted, wounds are cleansed, and peace is restored. Its beauty lies not only in the forgiveness received but also in the tender embrace of a Father who welcomes His children home. Through reconciliation, hearts are renewed, hope is rekindled, and grace flows once more, reminding us that no sin is greater than God’s love and that true freedom is found in His mercy.

Confessions are available after morning Mass from Monday to Saturday, and before the Saturday Vigil Mass starting at 5:00 pm
